Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to buyers, sellers, and visitors to the Services. Sellers on the Marketplace are independent businesses that may also act as separate data controllers of buyers' information they receive to fulfill orders; their use of that information is governed by their own privacy practices, not ours.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide.

• Account & profile: name, display name, public username / handle, email address, and password (stored in hashed form).
• Transactions: orders, offers, cart contents, shipping and billing addresses, order history, and communications about orders.
• Payments: payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive limited details such as the last four digits of a card, card brand, and transaction status; we do not store full card numbers.
• User content: reviews, ratings, seller feedback, listing data (for sellers), and messages you send to other users or to us.
• Support: information you provide when you contact us.

Information collected automatically.

• Device & usage: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, and interactions.
• Listing analytics: events such as listing impressions, views, add-to-cart, offers, and purchases, tied to a visitor identifier, to measure the shopping funnel and improve the Services.
• Attribution: information about how you arrived at a listing or the Services (such as the referring page or campaign) stored in an attribution cookie.
• Cookies & similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies we use, including for sign-in, the cart, the watchlist, recently viewed items, timezone, analytics, and attribution.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from our payment processor, shipping/carrier providers, sellers (for order fulfillment), fraud-prevention services, and, for seller inventory, the PIM catalog/inventory system.

3. How we use information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Services and your account.
• Process orders, offers, payments, shipping, returns, refunds, and disputes.
• Facilitate communication between buyers and sellers.
• Personalize your experience, such as your watchlist and recently viewed items.
• Measure and improve the Services, including listing analytics and attribution.
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our policies.
• Send transactional messages and, where permitted, service or marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing).
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms and policies.

Legal bases (EEA/UK). Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Services); for our legitimate interests (such as securing, analyzing, and improving the Services and preventing fraud), balanced against your rights; to comply with legal obligations; and, where required, with your consent (for example, certain cookies and marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it as follows:

• Between buyers and sellers: to complete a transaction, we share necessary details with the counterparty — for example, a buyer's name and shipping address with the seller, and the seller's identity with the buyer.
• Service providers / processors: payment processing (Stripe), shipping and label generation (Shippo and carriers), hosting and infrastructure, email/notification delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention — under contracts limiting their use of the data.
• Advertising partners: we use advertising and measurement cookies from Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Meta Pixel) to measure and promote the Services. These partners may receive online identifiers and activity data; see our Cookie Policy and Section 7 for your opt-out rights.
• Corporate transactions: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of PIM Marketplace, our users, or others.
• With your direction or consent.

Some analytics and advertising cookies may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain U.S. state laws even without money changing hands. See Section 7 for your opt-out rights.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, such as maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and enforcing our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify the information.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account by using a strong, unique password and keeping your credentials confidential.

7. Your U.S. state privacy rights (including California)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: know/access the personal information we collect; request deletion; request correction; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of certain targeted advertising. We do not knowingly use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate right to limit, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise these rights, email admin@pim-pro.com. We will verify your request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows. To opt out of "sale"/"sharing," you can also adjust cookie settings as described in our Cookie Policy; we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.

California's "Shine the Light" law: you may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes; we do not currently make such disclosures.

8. Your GDPR rights (EEA/UK)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your personal data; to data portability; to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing; and to withdraw consent. You may exercise these rights by contacting admin@pim-pro.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

International transfers. We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We currently offer the Services to customers in the United States and do not target the EEA or UK; if that changes and the law requires it, we will appoint a local representative and update this policy.

9. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact admin@pim-pro.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy, including for essential functionality (sign-in, cart), preferences, and analytics/attribution. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser and any cookie controls we provide.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
